We’re back for our second show of the year in our new location! On March 8 we’ll have two of my favorites from year one at Lyd & Mo’s, The Roswell Sisters, and Danette Christine.
Kristi Callan of The Roswell Sisters, Danette and I are semi-regulars for the Annual Harry Nilsson Singalong. And just like Harry, they have great big ears for music that transcends genres.
The Roswell Sisters are Justin Tanner, Lisa Genio, and Kristi, accompanied by Kristian Hoffman and Pierre Smith. All of them have fascinating resumes of creative endeavors from music to theater! I’ll post more about them in the coming days.
Danette has shown up in many formats to our gatherings, often with Phil Parlapiano and Robert Luis. In whatever format, from solo, to the Sonic Scene, she’s always musical, engaging and brings a spirit of love and community.
I’m super happy to have them with us again. And I’ll be in a good groove coming back from a little mini tour the weekend before, one stop of which includes a Sam Cooke tribute. I think it’ll be a beautiful night!
The format in the new venue, Aris the same as it’s been for the past two years, I’ll introduce with a song or two, then bring up my guests for their sets, then I’ll usually close the night with a set of my own.
The only thing to look out for is that we’re on the third floor there, so if you need the elevator, please let me know. It’s in the back and one of the staff will have to let you in. I’m sure this will all get down to a science as we develop, but bear with us as we get everything going.
